Fast Brothers bulldozers helped Manitoba Conservation fight the forest fires that threatened the communities of Woodridge, St Labre, Badger and Carrick. This work is typically done by cutting lines in the bush to flank the fire. These fire guards also serve as access points to allow ground personnel to maintain a perimeter around the fires and put out hot spots.
